Light Duty - 1500 Gas & Diesel
While the 1500 is a very good truck, it is not without issues. the most common are cam and lifter failure, transmission issues, coolant leaks, and jerky transmission shifts.
Heavy Duty - 2500 / 3500
The 6.7 Cummins is an excellent engine that can deliver up to 420 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. However, all engines are prone to the occasional failures and the 6.7L diesel is no exception. Some of the most common issues include the DPF, EGR cooler, heater grid bolt, turbocharger, and fuel dilution.
