Protecting Your 4x4 with Off-Road Bumpers & Body Armor

Choosing the right protection for your vehicle means not only preventing unnecessary damage but also helping you navigate obstacles on the trail.

4x4 off road body armor is essential. From off road bumpers and rock sliders to skid plates...we got your "covered".

Remember, we are a professional design and installation company. Our expert will help you navigate all aspects of your build.

Off-road Bumpers

It's not just about the look, but other accessories or capabilities. Will you need a winch, expect to add lighting later, pushing your axles out and need clearance for your tires for better approach angles?

Skid Plates

Not only do you help protect critical drivetrain components, but they will also help you navigate over obstacles easier. Whether RCI for Toyotas and Fords or Metal Cloak for Jeeps, we got you covered.

Rock Sliders

One the best add-ons you can do...rock sliders not only protect your rocker panels, but also help you navigate around and over tight spaces while on the trail.

Panels

For that extra protection, we can help you protect the quarter panels and wheel wells of many off road vehicles.

Picking the Right Off-Road Bumper

Considerations:

  • Durability and Protection - Look for a bumper that is constructed from high-quality materials such as steel or aluminum, as they offer excellent durability and resistance to impacts. Additionally, consider a bumper design that provides sufficient coverage to safeguard the front, rear, and sides of your vehicle.
  • Ground Clearance, Tire Clearance, and Approach Angles - It is crucial to choose a bumper that increases the ground clearance of your vehicle. Consider tire clearance and approach angles. For example, if you are pushing your Jeep axles out, then a "stubby" bumper will be a better option for you.
  • Winch Compatibility - When selecting a bumper, ensure it is compatible with the winch mounting system you will be installing (now or in the future). Look for features such as recessed winch mounts, reinforced mounting points, and appropriate weight capacity to accommodate the winch of your choice. Remember, you will save installation time (and money) if you install the winch at the same time of installing you bumper.
  • Lighting Options - Nighttime off-roading requires adequate lighting for improved visibility. Many off-road bumpers come with provisions for auxiliary lights such as fog lights or LED light bars. Consider a bumper that offers integrated light mounting options, allowing you to add extra lighting to enhance your off-road experience.
  • Aesthetics - Bumpers come in various styles and finishes, allowing you to personalize the look of your vehicle.

Selecting the right bumper for your off road vehicle is a big decision and requires a healthy dose of research. We recommend you decide what is most important to you prior to researching. Prioritize durability, protection, ground, tire, and approach clearance, winch compatibility, lighting options, and aesthetics when making your choice. Remember, the right bumper will help you achieve your off road demands and usually gives you a bad ass look. Either way, we are here to help you in this research and the installation. Some installations (especially on Toyotas) require vehicle body trimming. Let our experienced technicians do that for you!
